Your Aftercare Guide

What You Do After Treatment Matters Too

Different aesthetic procedures have different aftercare requirements. The DayBeau Clinic provides separate precautions for laser procedures, hair removal, injections, lifting treatments, fillers, thread lifting and skin boosters. Always follow the specific instructions provided for your treatment.

First Steps

Four Principles for Post-Treatment Care

These are broad themes reflected in the original clinic's published aftercare instructions. Your individual treatment instructions should always take priority.

01

Protect Your Skin

Sun protection is particularly important after laser-based treatments because unwanted pigmentation can develop during recovery.

02

Avoid Excess Heat

Certain procedures require you to avoid heat, strenuous exercise, sauna or similar activities for a specified period.

03

Be Gentle

Do not pick, peel or aggressively manipulate treated skin. Follow the clinic's instructions for cleansing, moisturizing and dressing.

04

Watch for Changes

Contact the clinic promptly if you develop significant pain, fever, unusual skin color changes, blisters or other concerning symptoms.

Treatment-Specific Care

Aftercare Depends on Your Treatment

The DayBeau Clinic's aftercare information is divided according to treatment type. The following sections summarize the key points most relevant to international patients.

Detailed Aftercare

Treatment-by-Treatment Guidance

The information below summarizes the published aftercare guidance from DayBeau Clinic. Exact instructions may vary according to the treatment performed and your individual condition.

01

Laser Treatments

Laser • Mole Removal • Pigmentation • Tattoo Removal

  • Protect the treated skin from ultraviolet exposure and use sunscreen as instructed by the clinic. Sun protection is particularly important after laser treatment.
  • According to DayBeau Clinic guidance, facial cleansing, makeup and showering can generally resume from the day after laser treatment.
  • Temporary redness, itching or a warm/burning sensation can occur after laser treatment and may improve within several hours.
  • Keep the treated area adequately moisturized during recovery.
  • If a scab forms, do not forcibly remove or pick it. Allow it to naturally detach while maintaining appropriate moisture as instructed.
  • Laser treatment for pigmentation, acne marks, spots, moles, tattoo removal and hair removal may require multiple sessions rather than a single treatment.
  • If blisters or significant swelling develop within the following days, contact the clinic promptly.
Important for mole and lesion removal

The DayBeau Clinic provides specific guidance for regenerative tape after mole, milia and flat-wart removal. The tape may be kept in place during cleansing or showering, and if it comes off it should be replaced according to the clinic's instructions.

02

Laser Hair Removal

GentleMax Pro Plus • Apogee Plus • Avalanche

  • Hair follicles can become temporarily irritated after treatment, and folliculitis may occur.
  • If redness or itching develops, follow the clinic's prescribed topical medication instructions rather than applying products on your own.
  • Avoid activities that cause heavy sweating, including strenuous exercise, sauna and jjimjilbang, for approximately one week according to DayBeau Clinic guidance.
  • Avoid alcohol during the recommended recovery period because it may contribute to inflammation.
  • Waxing, tanning and pulling hairs out with tweezers should be avoided following the treatment.
03

Botox & Contour Injections

Facial Botox • Salivary Gland Botox • Contour Injections

  • The DayBeau Clinic states that facial cleansing and makeup can be performed on the same day after these injections.
  • Avoid heavy drinking, facial massage and strenuous exercise for approximately 3–5 days because these activities may contribute to inflammation.
  • Temporary bruising, swelling or small raised injection areas may occur and generally improve within several days.
  • Avoid applying heat, including hot compresses or radiofrequency treatment, to the treated area for approximately 3–5 days because heat may affect Botox effectiveness.
  • Temporary stiffness or tingling may occur after treatment and can improve as the treated muscle changes.
Square-jaw Botox

The original English aftercare page specifically advises avoiding hard or tough foods after square-jaw Botox treatment.

04

Fat-Dissolving Injections

Contour Injection • Fat-Free Injection • V-OLET

  • Gentle massage of the treated area for approximately 2–3 days is included in DayBeau Clinic's aftercare guidance for these injections.
  • Temporary sensations such as tingling, itching, aching or warmth can occur as the injected product acts on the treated area.
  • Bruising, swelling or temporary raised injection areas may occur after treatment.
  • Avoid heavy drinking and strenuous exercise for approximately 3–5 days according to the clinic's general injection precautions.
  • Follow the clinic's treatment-specific instructions regarding massage and heat rather than using aggressive massage on your own.
05

Lifting Treatments

Titanium Lifting • RF Lifting • Energy-Based Treatments

  • Temporary aching or a warm sensation can occur after lifting treatments and may improve within several hours.
  • Skin may feel dry following treatment. Maintain appropriate moisturization according to the clinic's instructions.
  • The DayBeau Clinic notes that lifting results are not always immediate and may develop gradually over approximately 2–4 weeks.
  • Results and duration vary according to factors such as skin elasticity, degree of laxity and skin thickness.
  • If blisters or vesicles develop within several days, contact the clinic and arrange an evaluation.
Titanium lifting

The DayBeau Clinic specifically emphasizes sunscreen after Titanium Lifting because of its immediate brightening effect.

06

Fillers, Thread Lifting & Skin Boosters

Injectable Treatments

  • Facial cleansing is possible after these injectable treatments, but avoid heavy drinking, smoking, facial massage and strenuous exercise for approximately 3–5 days according to the original clinic guidance.
  • Bruising, swelling, pain, minor bleeding and temporary raised injection areas may occur and generally improve over several days.
  • A temporary sensation of something being present in the treated area may occur.
  • Pressure from hats, glasses, sleeping position, massage or other procedures may affect the shape of a treated area. Avoid unnecessary pressure.
  • If medication has been prescribed to help prevent infection or inflammation, take it exactly as directed by the clinic.
  • The DayBeau Clinic states that patients receiving filler or thread lifting may receive a follow-up call the following day.
Thread lifting

Temporary tightness, awkward facial movement or changes in how expressions feel can occur after thread lifting and may improve with time. If the thread becomes visible, protrudes or causes unusual changes, contact the clinic for assessment.

07

Skin Booster Aftercare

Injectable Skin Boosters

  • Because skin boosters are injected superficially into the dermal layer, temporary small raised areas or an uneven "embossed" appearance may occur.
  • Small injection marks can remain visible after treatment.
  • The DayBeau Clinic notes that injection marks can last up to approximately one week depending on individual skin condition.
  • Avoid unnecessary pressure or aggressive massage of the treated area unless specifically instructed by the clinical team.
08

Body Botox & Sweating Treatments

Calf • Thigh • Trapezius • Arm • Palm

  • After calf or thigh Botox, some patients may experience temporary tingling or weakness approximately 2–4 weeks after treatment.
  • If weakness or altered sensation occurs, use additional caution with high heels, stairs, exercise and driving.
  • After trapezius or upper-arm Botox, avoid carrying heavy loads or carrying a bag consistently on only one side.
  • After body Botox, excessive use of treated muscles may encourage compensatory activity in surrounding muscles.
  • After palm sweating treatment, grip strength may temporarily decrease slightly and can improve within several days.
Recovery Expectations

Your Recovery May Develop Gradually

Not every treatment follows the same recovery pattern. Some temporary effects may appear immediately, while certain treatment results develop gradually.

01

First Hours

Temporary warmth, redness, mild swelling, tingling or tenderness may occur depending on the treatment.

02

First Days

Bruising, swelling, injection marks or temporary skin sensitivity may gradually become less noticeable.

03

Healing Phase

Some laser-treated areas may form scabs or require protective tape while the skin regenerates.

04

Developing Results

Certain lifting treatments may show gradual improvement over approximately 2–4 weeks, depending on the individual.

International Patient Planning

Planning Your Recovery Around Your Seoul Trip

If you are travelling internationally for treatment, consider the recovery requirements before scheduling flights, sightseeing and other activities.

Allow Recovery Time

Do not assume that every treatment has no visible recovery period. Bruising, swelling, redness, injection marks or temporary sensitivity may occur depending on the procedure.

Protect Treated Skin

If you are sightseeing in Seoul after treatment, remember that outdoor exposure may be especially relevant after laser and pigmentation procedures. Follow the clinic's sun-protection instructions.

Plan Activities Carefully

Some procedures require temporary restrictions on strenuous exercise, sauna, alcohol, massage or other activities. Plan your itinerary accordingly.

Keep the Clinic Contact

Keep the clinic's contact details available after your appointment. If an unexpected or concerning symptom develops, contact the clinic and follow its medical advice.

!

When Should You Contact the Clinic?

The DayBeau Clinic specifically advises patients to contact the clinic and return for evaluation if certain concerning symptoms develop after treatment.

  • Severe or extreme pain
  • Fever or significant heat
  • Unusual skin color changes
  • Blisters or vesicles
  • Unexpected significant swelling
  • Other concerning symptoms
